ARC Automation ("we," "our," or "us") operates https://arcautomation.app and the ARC application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. By using ARC, you agree to the practices described here.

- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken, timestamps, and session duration.
- Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs.
- Error logs: Technical error reports generated when the Service encounters a problem, including stack traces and the page where the error occurred. This data is used solely for debugging and improving the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies: We use session cookies for authentication and functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1.3 Information From Third-Party Platforms
When you connect a marketplace account (eBay, Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, Walmart, or others), we receive:
- OAuth access tokens required to act on your behalf
- Product and listing data you authorize us to read or write
- Order and sales data necessary to sync inventory and fulfillment status
- Store or seller account identifiers
We only request the minimum permissions needed to provide the features you use. You can revoke our access to any connected platform at any time from your Settings page.
2.How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and provide the Service
- Sync your product listings across connected marketplaces
- Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing receipts)
- Respond to your support requests
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Debug errors and improve the reliability and performance of the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
- Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage trends to improve features
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your listing content or business data to train machine learning models for any purpose other than features you explicitly use within the Service (such as AI-powered item identification).
3.AI-Powered Features
ARC uses artificial intelligence to help identify items, generate listing titles, descriptions, and tags from photos you upload. When you use these features:
- Images are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data.
- Images are not stored by Anthropic beyond the immediate API request.
- We do not use your images or generated content to train our own AI models.
- AI-generated content is suggestions only — you review and control what gets published.
4.How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your data only in these limited circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party vendors who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
- Anthropic — AI image analysis (photos only, processed in real time)
- EasyPost — shipping label generation and carrier rate queries
- Vercel — application hosting and deployment infrastructure
4.2 Connected Marketplaces
When you connect and publish to a marketplace (eBay, Shopify, etc.), your listing data is transmitted to that platform as directed by you. Those platforms' privacy policies govern how they handle that data.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ARC Automation, our users, or others.
4.4 Business Transfers
If ARC Automation is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the Service before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
